Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back with a light up Halloween card featuring the Meowy Halloween stamp set and a video tutorial, too! This card was so fun and easy to make – don’t forget to check out the video at the end of this post to see the step-by-step process!
The images in today’s card are part of the super cute Meowy Halloween Stamp set. They were colored with Triblend Alcohol Markers. . Here is the list of markers I used
- Cat: Ice Gray Blend
- Hat: Ice Gray Shade
- Green: Apple Green Blend
- Orange: Burnt Orange Blend
- Teal: Aqua Blue Blend
- Pink: Magenta Blend
- Purple: Pink Violet Blend
- Cat’s Ears: Fair Skin Blend
Once I was done coloring, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
For the card base, I used the Darling Ribbon and Frames dies and die cut some black cardstock.
I then die cut two panels out of watercolor cardstock using the Dotted Patterns Set 3 dies and the Loops dies. I added color to these panels using Distress Oxide Sprays in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey and Carved Pumpkin.
I also blended the edges of the panels with Distress Ink in Black Soot for some extra spookyiness!
For the light up part of the card I used EZ-Lights – they are really easy to use and in the video I share how I added them to this project. The LED lights shine through some spooky faces that I created using the Meowy Halloween coordinating dies. I have to say that I really had a lot of fun creating this card!
Next, I adhered the images and my sentiment, too and then moved on to finishing touches. I added Exotic Onyx Pearls and coated some of the images with a glitter brush pen and Glossy Accents.
And that’s it for my card! Don’t forget to check out the video tutorial below to see the step by step process!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
