Non Christmas Card Using Merry Poinsettia with Erum

September 19, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards

Hello friends! Erum here with a new card to share with you using Merry Poinsettia Stamp Set but with a twist. When we think of Poinsettias we immediately think of Christmas so I thought I’d stretch this stamp set a bit and make a non Christmas card.

Studio Katia Merry Poinsettia Stamp Set, watercolour card by Erum Tasneem - @pr0digy0 For my card front, I took the holly berries to build my background by stamping it randomly. There are two stamps of holly berries in the stamp set and I used both of them. I then filled in the empty space with a doodled star stamp which is also part of the Merry Poinsettia Stamp Set.

I stamped both the flower stamps (one single flower and a pair of two flowers) and leaves on to watercolour paper and watercoloured them using distress inks. I added some random veins to the petals. After I was done, I fussy cut all the images and arranged them on to my card front. For the flower center I used the beautiful Onyx Crystals.

I heat embossed the sentiment “You’re Fantastic” from And The Fox Says Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I also added a few black paint splatters on my front panel. In the end I added a few sequins from the Silver Foil Fusion and the beautiful Ocean Wave Crystals.

That is all from my side today! I hope you liked my card.

Thank you for stopping by 🙂

xx

Is there any coloring media that you don’t rock … really love what you’ve done here … always love seeing non-holiday ways to use holiday stamps.
