Hello Everyone!
Liliuska here and today I’d like to share another Card and Tag Set I made using Poinsettia Trimmings. I like using these images, as the flowers are smaller size and are easy to color quickly.
I started by heat embossing poinsettia borders onto a tag and a panel cut out off a watercolor paper. I like using gold and platinum embossing powders for watercoloring and that’s what I did here. I colored all the images using watercolor pens. I picked scarlet red and dark red for poinsettias, light green and sepia for the leaves and warm grey for outlines.
Since I used grey for outlines, I decided to adhere my panel onto a grey card base and attached grey tag under watercolored tag with baker’s twine. To add a sentiment I stamped word Christmas with black ink and made two die cuts: Merry and Joy. I made both words thick as chipboard by glueing few white die cuts and adding a glitter paper die cut on top using Studio Katia glue.
I played with words a bit on the tag. I adhered word Joy in a way that it would overlap letter I in word Christmas, as if I and J became one letter. I embellished both the card and the tag with gold crystals using Studio Katia glue.
