Pretty Peony Border Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends! Jyoti here again with another pretty peony border Birthday card featuring PEONY TRIMMINGS clear stamp and PEONY TRIMMINGS DIES. With two beautifully hand drawn border peony floral images and sentiments, along with versatile dies for cutting out the borders and sentiments, this set is a must-have for any card maker.

Started off by stamping two peony images on a piece of Neenah 80lb card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. As a coloring enthusiast, I couldn’t resist reaching for my trusty Copic marker to bring these peonies to life with vibrant orange shades.

We all know and love the breathtaking beauty of pink and even yellow peonies. But have you ever seen one in bright orange? I love pushing the boundaries and exploring new possibilities and transform the traditional peony into a captivating burst or orange hues. I had so much fun coloring these beautifully drawn petals.

I colored some of the peonies in very pale pink. Alternating the bright and pale together creates visual interest, don’t you think so? After I finished coloring the image and admiring it for a little longer I die-cut the border and added them along the top and bottom using foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment directly on the card base aligning it in between the floral border. As a finishing touch I added some TANGERINE SEQUIN MIX around the sentiment.
