Quick and Easy Hello Friend Card by Ilda

January 16, 2019 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards, Hello Cards

Hello Friends, Ilda here with you today on the Studio Katia Blog. Today I am sharing a super quick and easy card to make using the You’re So Ranunculus stamp set. A card like this would be a great card to mass produce for whatever occasion you needed.

I began by stamping out the image and heat setting it with a gold embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Using a large brush I then applied a generous amount of water to the paper.  Next, I smooshed Squeezed Lemon and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink onto to a slick surface and added the color to the paper starting with the yellow on the top and pink on the bottom and then blended the two colors slightly in the middle. To some of the flower petals, I added a little more pigment before the water dried. Once the panel was completely dry, I die cut the added some splatters of ink using the same oxide colors.

I then ran the paper through the die cutting machine using the large frame from the Dotted Pattern Set 3 die set. I glued that piece onto a gold foil cardstock that I had trimmed to size and then glued them onto an A2 card base using foam tape.

I finished off the card front with gold foil die-cuts that came from the Spring Bouquet Coordinating die set and the You’re So Ranunculus Coordinating die set, and then added some gold crystals as finishing touches.

Hope this quick and easy yet beautiful Hello Friend card inspired you today.

Until next time, Ilda.
