Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I decided to make a fun Shark-tastic Christmas card!
Take a look:
First, I did the background for which I used distress oxides in three colors: Tumbled glass, Broken China and Chipped saphire. Once the ink blending was done I used some clean water and sprinkle it on it to get some cool splatters. Then, I used white ink and the Underwater sun rays stencil to add even more depth to the bacground.
Next, I used Scallop oblong die on the ink blended panel to give it a nice finnished look.
I wanted to make a fun holiday card, so I decided to combine images from Jawsome and Winter Kobi stamp sets. I went with masking technique, so it looks like the lady shark is wearing Santa’s hat and the boy shark in bringing a Christmas tree. I added some other images from Under the sea stamp set as a scene builder and color everything in using Alcohol markers.
Then, I stamped ‘Holiday wishes’ saying from Holiday village stamp set on a piece of gray cardstock. For some extra texture and detail I added some Clear drops around the Ocean background that look as air bubbles.
The last thing I did was glueing everything together using Studio Katia glue and some double sided tape.
Thanks for joining me,
Kaja
