Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and I must admit that I haven’t been making much cards lately, so today I decided to make a card for my soul — a watercolored floral card.
Take s look:
I started by stamping out a floral image from Aloha stamp set on a piece of watercolor paper. Then, I used ZIG watercolor markers to color in the image. I made sure that I left the shadows dark and the highlights bright. I used purple and red for the blooms and green for the leaves.
Once the image was colored, I went ahead and added some white details using white gel pen. The image seemed to big for a standard card base, so I quickly cut it in the middle which got me two parts of the stamped image. I glued it one over the other to get to a nice tall image.
Next, I added a black strip of paper to the left hand-side of the card and embelished it with a white line across its left side. To corespond with the black, I added the sentiment that reads ‘Hello my friend’ from the same Aloha stamp set.
I put the flowers down using double sided tape and liquid glue. I felt like I needed some more color so I added the purple dots that I put on a card using the Embellisment wand!
The card was all finished in no time, so now the only thing left to do is to send it out.
