Hi there, it’s Tracey here today and I have a Christmas card with the Studio Katia Slider Tag Die built right into the front of the card.
I blended a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with Distress Oxide inks using the Studio Katia Blending Brushes. I used Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. I placed the Studio Katia Snow-Fetti Creative Stencil over the panel and applied a layer of Nuvo Moonshine Glimmer Paste. I lifted the stencil and sprayed Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz all over the stenciled panel and set it aside to dry.
I used the Studio Katia Slider Tag Dies to create the slider mechanism on the front of my card. The snowman will pop up when you slide the tag up. The die comes in three pieces–the large slider which I cut from the stenciled card front, the slider message panel that I ink blended with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink and the tag back which I lightly blended some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide around the edges of.
I stamped and Copic coloured some images from the Studio Katia Happy Snowman stamp set that I adhered to the slider panel so they will pop up when you slide the tag. Then I white embossed Merry Christmas from the Studio Katia Gift Tag Greetings: Winter set to the top of the purple tag so it will show when you slide the tag up. Then finally I stamped and Copic coloured a few of the snowman’s tiny treasures directly to the tag back, which I have facing forward, so they will display when you slide the tag up. Isn’t that so cute?
I added clear Wink of Stella to all of the Copic coloured images. Wink of Stella doesn’t photograph well but the recipient will definitely get to enjoy it.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I am really starting to get into the Christmas spirit and had so much fun creating this interactive card. I hope I’ve inspired you to do the same.
