Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I will show you a cute Christmas card that I made!
Take a look:
I started making this card by stamping out the background. I knew that I want to make a snowy card, so I took the Snowflakes stamp set and stamped out 4 different snowflakes in light gray color. I made sure that all the background is filled out before moving on to the next step.
Then, I created a focal point which in my case is the rectangle from Dotted patterns 4 set. I die cut it twice, once in gray and once in white to ensure all the elements that I wanted to cut out are ready to use. Next, I took the white rectangles from the center and ink blended a nice wintery scene on it using the Studio Katia brushes. I used light blue color for the sky and gray that mathes the paper and the background nicely, for the ground. Then, I glued all the elements together. I used gray outer rectangle, white edges in the center and the ink blended center pieces.
One the background was done I stamped out images from Friends of winter and Holiday village (which are currently on SALE!!) stamp sets. I colored the images in using alcohol markers and added some details using white gel pen.
I felt like my scene was missing something, so I added white splotches all over the scenery which gave a beautifuly wintery feel to the card.
The last thing that I added was the sentiment that reads ‘Winter wishes’ and can be found in Holiday village stamp set.
I glued everything together using Studio Katia glue and foam tape and the card was all finished!
Thank you so much for joining me!
Kaja
