Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today, and I’ve got a pair of simple stenciled holiday cards to share with you using some of the newest stencils from the Winter 2019 release! The new Floral Snowflake Stencil and Snowflake Stencils have such beautiful, intricate details that are still picked up perfectly with some light ink blending! Let’s get started with the details.

I used the same basic technique for both projects. I began by laying the stencil down on an A2 panel of colored cardstock, then used the new Blender Brushes to blend a dark and light shade of the same color of ink, concentrating the darker color in the center of the stencil.

For the aqua card, I oriented the Snowflake Stencil in the center of the aqua cardstock panel, then used a light and dark turquoise to blend the details of the snowflake over the stencil, leaving the pale aqua cardstock to shine through. I trimmed the stenciled panel down and mounted it on a panel of aqua glitter cardstock.

For the greeting, I heat embossed the “peace on earth” from the Poinsettia Border stamp set onto some vellum using white embossing powder. I adhered it to the center of the snowflake panel using clear dimensional adhesive. The final step was to add some Arctic Breeze Pearls to add an icy, shimmering element to the card!

I used the same technique for my second project, this time using some pretty purple inks with the Floral Snowflake Stencil, concentrating the deep purple in the center and the lighter purple towards the edges.

For the greeting, I stamped a sentiment from Gift Tag Greetings onto a small rectangle of lavender cardstock, then mounted it on a slightly larger piece of purple foil. I mounted it to the stenciled snowflake panel using foam adhesive, then added some Arctic Breeze Pearls and sequins.
Well, that’s all for my projects today! I love these new stencils from the latest release; I hope you’ll go check them out. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

These are both very beautiful, Emily! Such great ideas for stunning cards!
Love the turquoise blending of the snowflake stencil as it fades out. The purple – fuchsia snowflakes with the different tones are beautiful!
