Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have a super fun Birthday card for you! 🙂
The first and the most time consuming thing was the stithcing. I die cut the biggest die from Stitch borders die set three times positioned horizontally on a paper in a size of my cardbase.
Then, I stitched everything using the normal cross-stitch where I used three shades of blue to make a nice ombre look to all three die cuts. Since the stitching gives such a nice look, I decided to keep the rest of the card quite simple.
I stamped and colored some animals from Under the sea stamp set and die cut them using the coordinating dies. As said, I wanted my stitching to be the star of the project so I only used a few of the animals in the set.
After positioning all of the images on the card, I glued them down. I usied liquid glue bacause I wanted to make sure that they stay firmly glued on the thread.
The last thing I had to add was a sentiment. I decided to go with the ‘May your birthday be as awesome as you are’ from Birthday greeting set since it has a nice length and it fitted perfectly in the layout I already had. I embossed it with white embossing powder over a black card stock to make it stand out even more. In the end, I poped it up using some foam tape which added that little extra dimention I wanted on the finished card.
That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.
