Hello, everyone!
It’s Dana here and I’m so excited to share my first project with you on the Studio Katia blog. Today, I have a summer birthday card featuring Studio Katia Kobi Bearing Gifts Stamp Set. I’ll share some ideas to extend this adorable Kobi stamp for other season as well. Here is what I came up with.
I think the most easiest way to extend your critter stamp is transforming the part of it. For this summer Kobi, I drew his swimming trunks on his body and a surfing board around him. If it were winter, I would create skis and snowy hillside or skate boots and icy background or just Santa Kobi!
After drawing the images on a piece of watercolor paper, I colored it with Zig Cleancolor Real Brush Markers using waterbrush. I fussy cut it with scissors and added details using white gel pen and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
For background, I pulled out watercolor paper and ran it through my die cutting machine with Studio Katia Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames. I then sponged Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feather Distress Oxide Inks.
Next, I spritzed clean water to the Studio Katia Brush Stroke Waves Stencil and let it down on my sponged background and pressed it for about 30 seconds. I cleared away the stencil and put a paper towel on the background to get rid of water. I then sprayed white and gold inks as shown in the picture.
Once it dried, I heat embossed sentiments from Studio Katia Birthday Greetings Stamp Set with gold and white embossing powders. I foam mounted surfing bear using foam tape and finished off this card.
Hope you enjoyed this card. I shared another birthday card which I used Studio Katia Kobi Bearing Gifts Stamp Set and Birthday Lions Stamp Set on my blog today as well. (click HERE) Happy crafting!

How fun is your first ‘official’ card, Dana! Your Kobi certainly has fine balance, navigating both a surfboard and his big ol’ stack of gifts! Wonderfully creative!
