This week we are showcasing the fab Sweet Latte Stamp Set. Being a total coffee addict I will confess to doing a happy dance when Katia released this set.
One of the main things I like about this set is the size of the stamps, they aren’t too small that you struggle to colour them, but also aren’t too big that you can only really use one image on a card, which came in handy with the card I am sharing with you today.
Before I start any card I like to lay out the elements as much as I can so i know if it is going to work….I never used to do this and ended up so many times with not enough going on with the card, or too much, so for me this not is always the first step.
Following on from my last post about colour I wanted to again try some colours that I love but never really work with. I used a strip of scrap paper to give me the inspiration for the colours, I knew brown would heavily feature due to being coffee and I started there by creating a watercolour wash background, I wanted it to look like coffee and hopefully achieved that.
Whilst I left that piece to fully try I stamped out the elements and watercolored them bringing in some of the colours from the paper.
I used the co ordinating dies to cut the elements out once they were fully dry and also cut from gold card the Coffee Script die, I decided to team this with one of the sentiments from the Sweet Latte Set which I heat embossed onto some brown card.
I then started to assemble the card, I added a gold strip along the edge of the watercolored piece to add something between that and the coloured card. All of the coffee elements were adhered using 3d foam tape to add some dimension.
To finish off I add some of the Clear Drop mix randomly to the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you and don’t forget to check back this week to see some more great makes using the Sweet Latte Set.
Have a great day and happy crafting
Tracy
