Hey guys it is Tracy here today sharing my latest Studio Katia card with you.
For this card I dug out one of my favourite Studio Katia Sets Thanks So Much. I love the flower in this set and also in the coordinating die set there is two sentiment dies that are beautiful. I also went with a slightly different colour combo, but one that I love- Blue, Pink & Rose gold. I love colour, but within card making I do tend to stick to similar combinations and honestly play it safe a lot of the time. Going outside our comfort zone sometimes can be not only fun. but also spark our creativity more.
I hope after reading how I created the card trying different colours might be something you do.
I stamped the flowers onto some cold pressed water color card with clear sticky ink and heat embossed using Simon Says Stamp Rose Gold Embossing powder. I then did some watercoloring using Mijello Missiongold and watered the color down quite a bit as this can be a very intense blue.
Whilst they was drying I took a piece of my minds eye paper and die cut using Darling Ribbon & Frame Die set. I then added some splatter detail and left to dry. Whilst that was drying I die cut the flowers and the Thank You Sentiment, which i die cut from some Rose Gold card. I die cut it twice and adhered them on top of each other for some dimension.
I then started to adhered everything together, I wanted some extra dimension so I adhered two of flowers using some foam tape and then trimmed off the excess flowers.
I felt the card needed some extra sparkle so I adhered some Majestic Sequins randomly using Matt adhesive.
This was such a beautiful stamp to water colour and it was so refreshing to work with a different color combination that I usually go for.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have a great day.
Happy Crafting

Love everything about this card, Tracy! Pink is my favorite color, but would never have thought to use it for the background of deep colored flowers like you did! Thank you for the inspiration! You’re making me want these Studio Katia products, too!
Thanks so much lovely Greta I’m so glad I inspired you.
I’d LOVE to see you create with Studio Katia products 🙂
I think you did a WONDERFUL JOB on this Tracy! If you look up Peony Colors on the net, you will find that the Peony comes in MANY COLORS! THAT is how I get out of my comfort zone, so I agree with you! I LOVE all the different colors the Peony comes in! (I will post in the near future a card done with Studio Katia Stamps & dies done in a different color too.) It DOES MAKE for a stunning card when you use a different color than expected! I ADORE the blue you’ve used! (Just one of my “favorite colors!” ) 😉 AND I LOVE that you’ve used the Brushed Stokes Stamp I believe it is??? WONDERFUL JOB!!! 😉
