Theme Week | Hearts/Valentines – Day 5. Sweet Valentine’s day card with Laura

Hello everyone! It’s Laura here with a sweet Valentine’s day card for the current Studio Katia Theme Week. For this card I combined the new Kobi’s Hugs and Kisses stamp set with the Sweet Heart Candy stamp set – they work perfectly together!
As a first step, I stamped images from the Kobi’s Hugs and Kisses set on some Neenah Solar White cardstock, I colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating dies. I also added some highlights with a white gel pen.

For the background panel I cut some Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock using the Dotted Patterns: Loops Creative Dies. I did some ink blending with Distress Inks and added water splashes for some extra interest.
The card base is some dark gray cardstock that I cut with the rectangle die in the Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frames Creative Dies set.

I then adhered everything together, and, as a last step, I stamped several of the sentiments in the Sweet Heart Candy stamp set using Versamark ink.
