Hi crafty friends!
Svitlana is here. As you know the theme of this week here at Studio Katia is North American July. We’re sharing projects in Red and White or Red, White and Navy. In honor of upcoming Canada Day and 4th of July.
Since I’m American (well, Ukrainian-American to be more exact) I created Red, Navy, White project.
SUPPLIES:
These colors are pretty intense, in order to not overwhelm my card for the rest of it I went white.
The idea for this card came to me from an Americana wreath I made the last year as an addition to my Home Decor. I made it using white, navy and red flowers. And even though it was made using cheapo Dollar Tree products (who knows, maybe one day all my home decor will come from Pottery Barn haha), it still brings the patriotic atmosphere.
I stamped and colored using COPICs the same flower from Together We Bloom Stamp Set. I colored them red, white (which is gray) and navy. I made leaves “white” as well, since didn’t want to introduce any other color.
Then I cut out the flowers and adhered them onto a white card base in form of cluster.
I stamped a sentiment using stamps from Happy Stamp Set onto a stripe of white cardstock and adhered it on top of the cluster.
Lastly I added several sequins from Majestic Fusion to accentuate the card.
This design is maybe a bit unusual for 4th of July, but I really like how it turned out. Hope you like this idea too and have a wonderful day!
