Underwater birthday card with Kaja

by Kaja

Hi all,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I prepared a cute underwater card for you.

Take a look:

When I was looking through my stash of Studio Katia stamps I saw the Autumn borders set and decided to create an ocean ground inspired by the layout in the set. I used a bunch of images from Under the sea and Mermaid for each other stamps sets to create an half-circlular layout. I first stamped the images that are in the front of the scene and then mask it off to be able to stamp other things in the background. Once the scene was stamped out, I colored it in using alcohol markers.

Next, I stamped the stingray image from Under the sea stamp set along with the speach bubble with a heart that can be found in Jawsome stamp set. I colored these two images with alcohol markers as well.

Then, I used Studio Katia brushes and distress oxides to create a underwater background. I started with the lightest color towards the bottom and then gradually added darker colors. Once I was happy with the background, I splashed some clear water on top to get the splattered effect. I added some stitched detail with white gel pen towards the edges, to get the background to connect to the rest of the card more.

The last thing I added was the sentiment from Birthday greetings stamp set, that I stamped towards the bottom of the card.

I glued everything together using Studio Katia glue and double sided tape.

That’s all I have for today, thank you so much for joining me!

Kaja
