Using Color Cardstock Leftovers

August 22, 2017 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Thank You Cards

Hi friends!

Svitlana is here. Today I want to share an idea of one way you can use those color cardstock leftovers which I’m sure you have somewhere laying around in baskets, boxes, poly envelopes or whatever storage system you have. I have a lot of those. But since I’m a passionate stamper I mostly use white cardstock and not so often grab colored one. Coloring is very popular now and even though I like stamping more I still do coloring quite often. And again white cardstock is used then. So there are not much opportunities for my color cardstock to be used.

With this being said – both stamping and coloring (especially coloring) take quite a bit of time. With color cardstock on the other hand color is already there. You just need to take it and use it. That’s what I did on a card which I’m sharing today. It was so easy and quick to create, but I like it as well as my stamped or colored ones.

SUPPLIES:

Together We Bloom Clear Stamp Set

Mini Thank You Die Set

I started by grabbing several pieces of different color cardstock and white embossed a flower from Together We Bloom Clear Stamp Set onto them. When I was choosing colors I tried to stay within one color intensity so to speak. In other words I didn’t take one light color and another dark one and so on.

I also die-cut a sentiment out of white carstock using a die from Mini Thank You Die Set.

I made an A2 card base out of black cardstock and adhered the sentiment onto it. Followed by adhering flowers in two clusters, in the left bottom and top right corners. Some flowers I adhered flat and some were foam mounted. I used black foam squares for this, as white foam ones would be noticeable on a black card base.

I trimmed the flowers along the card base edges so nothing sticks out. That was literally it, that card was ready 😉

Hope you like this ides of using up color cardstock leftovers.

Have a wonderful week!
