Vellum Shaker Card by Isha Gupta

February 1, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, CAS, Shaker Cards

Hello everyone! Isha here sharing an adorable vellum shaker card using the new release products. Have you check them out yet? There are so many wonderful things to choose from. I made a flat shaker card as it’s easy to mail 🙂

I started by taking a white panel. I sponged distress ink in scattered straw through the new Ink Splash stencil. I then die-cut this using the Honeycomb shaker die. I placed this panel onto the cardbase, kept the thin border and the thick border in place and adhered the four hexagons directly to the cardbase. I then adhered vellum behind the opening. Stamped the sentiment. to create the shaker, I simply put some chunky sparkle glitter to the cardbase where we adhered the hexagons. I then adhered the die-cut panel to the cardbase. Now, I colored the thin border using black copic marker and adhered it to the card. For added interest, die-cut the image 2 more times using white cardstock. Stack the broad frames to give it a chipboard look. Adhere this to the card too. Stamp the bee image from the Honey Bees stamp and color it using copic markers. Die-cut it and a heart too. Color the heart. Adhere this to the card.

To finish, apply a little bit of glue to the bee wings and sprinkle some chunky glitter to it. Thank you for dropping by! Have a nice crafty day!

The dark border focus works well. Nice idea for a thinner shaker for easier mailing.
