Video. Falling snow effect on a Christmas card

October 20, 2020 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Shaker Cards, Winners, Winter Holidays

Hello everyone its Galina. Today I’m going to show how to create a fun winter card with one layered stamped scene and multilayered snowfall.

How to make this card you can watch here or on Studio Katia Youtube channel

I cut out an oval panel using the biggest die from Nested Ovals die set and I used trimming border die as a guide to draw a hills on it. I stamped snowpens from Happy snowmen Stamp set using black memento ink. I traced pencil lines and white gaps on stamped images with a black Copic pen. I colored the whole panel with alcohol Copic markers and applied Violet distress ink on edges of the oval die cut.

Using Snow-fetti stencil and texture paste I created a first layer of the snowfall on my card. Also I applied paste on an acetate sheet through the Confetti stencil. Inside of the shaker base I put silver confetti, white seed beads and sequins to create a middle layer of the snowfall.

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh my, Galina! This is such an adorable card! Love the snowmen; love the wintry wonderland you created for them! Thank you for the fabulous ‘how to’ video! I have the snowmen set; now I need to add the ovals and stencils to my collection!
