Vintage Christmas Lights

November 5, 2019 / CATEGORIES - Shaker Cards, Winter Holidays

Hi there! Emily here with you today, and I have a project inspired by the beautiful that I remember from my youth! I love the elegance of white Christmas lights, but I have always loved the nostalgic feeling of the soft glow of colored Christmas lights. The Crystal Rainbow sequins and Crystal Rainbow Confetti remind me of colored Christmas lights, so I used those as my inspiration for today’s shaker card. Let’s get started with the details!

I began with an A2 panel of white cardstock, and using the new Ink Blender Brushes, blended pink, purple, electric blue, teal, and yellow inks to create that soft Christmas light glow.

I then die cut the Half Striped Cover Die from some iridescent white cardstock, backed it with acetate, and added foam tape to create a shaker card. I filled the shaker with lots of Crystal Rainbow sequins and Crystal Rainbow Confetti.

For the greeting, I die cut the polygon from the Half Striped Cover Die using white cardstock, then stamped the “Be Merry” from Merry Poinsettia using black ink.

Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous day!
