Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and this time around I decided to take a break from Christmas cards and made a watercolored floral birthday card.
Take a look:
First, I stamped out the images from the You’re so sweet stamp set on a piece of watercolor paper. Then, I colored everything in using markers from the Marvy Uchida Le plume II – Natural marker set. I only used two colors and with the help of watercolor brush I got a nice shading.
Once everything was colored in, I used the coordinating dies to die cut all the images out.
I love the colors used on the flowers so I decided to keep them as the main focus. I added a piece of striped black and white patterned paper to the left hand-side of the card which goes nicely with the black outline of the flowers.
The card isn’t really finished without a sentiment, so I die cut a banner from the Dotted patterns: SET 2 and heat embossed ‘Happy birthday’ from Birthday greetings on top. I used a fine white embossing powder so the sentiments can be read without any problem.
I glued the paper and the colored images down using Studio Katia liquid glue. For some dimension I poped up the sentiment using the double sidded foam rectangles.
The last thing I added were some Onyx Crystals which I glued down randomly around the banner.
Hope that you like this card and thank you so much for joining me!
Kaja
