Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I made a cute winter card! Let’s take a look how I made it! 🙂
The card looks like this:
First, I made the background. I decided to do some ink blending and the easiest way for me to do so is with distress oxides. I used three colors of ink, the lightest shade is Tumbled glass, the medium shade is Broken china and the darkest shade is faded jeans.
Once the background was all covered in ink I die cut it using the rectangle from Dotted patterns set 3 die set. Then, I sprinked it using clear water to get some light splotches and after that I used white paint and made some more splotches, that now look like snow.
I stamped out Kobi the bear from Kobi’s ice day stamp set and I masked off the bottom part of his ice-skates, so it looks like he is wearing boots. After that I stamped out a house, some trees and a snowman from the new set called Holiday village. I colored everything in using alcohol markers and then I die cut it using it’s coordinating dies.
Next, I decided to make a snowy hill, so I die cut another rectangle from the same Dotted patterns set 3 die set, but this time I used a normal white card stock. Then, I used Simple dotted borders die to cut down two hills from it that fit perfectly on the background.
The only thing left to do was to add a sentiment and I decided to use a simple ‘winter wishes’ saying from the Holiday village stamp set. I stamped it in black on a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed down using my paper trimmer.
Then, I glued everything together using Studio Katia glue and some double sided foam rectangles.
That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.
