You’re So Sweet Card by Ilda

December 12, 2018 / CATEGORIES - Cards, Floral Cards

Hey Everyone, Ilda here!

Today I have a fun and bright card to share with you. I wanted to take a break from all the Christmas cards I’ve been making lately and create something rainbowy 🙂

I began by stamping out the sweet pea images from the You’re So Sweet set onto watercolor paper and colored them in with Tombow dual brush markers. I then die cut each of the flowers with the coordinating dies.

Next, I die cut the background using the Halftone Dots Cover Die and inserted the stems through the holes in somewhat of a rainbow color order using foam tape to pop up some of the flowers. I then adhered the background to a white card base.

For the sentiment, I die cut the friend word die from the Spring Bouquet Die set from a piece of white cardstock and a piece of black cardstock and glued them together to create a shadow effect. I then stamped out you’re so sweet on the banner from the Best Ever Dies and trimmed off one of the ends.

To embellish the card I used Liquid Pixie Dust to paint on some shimmer onto the flower petals and then glued on a variety of Studio Katia Crystals to some of the openings of the background. See links below for a list of all the crystals I used.

I hope this bright and cheerful card inspired you today. I love how this card turned out and hope you did too!

Thank you for stopping by and until next time… Happy Crafting!

Ilda
