Hello, friends! Rubeena here from A Rare Ruby sharing my very first Design Team post with you today. I created a masculine card using two older sets: Foxes and And the Fox Says.
Since I got back into crafting this year, I wanted to challenge myself to create more scenic cards. Sometimes I’ll work on scenes that take me hours to color and sometimes twenty minutes. Since I wanted something masculine, I decided to keep it simple. I stamped the adorable fox pair onto white cardstock with black dye-ink. On a separate cardstock, I stamped the tree stump. I used Copic markers to color the background first before coloring the tree stump. I colored the fox and added fur details with color pencils and white gel pen. This was my first attempt at faux fur so it wasn’t too bad. I fussy cut the fox and glued it over the tree stump.
I took a 4″x5.25″ piece of white cardstock and die-cut the center using the larder circle from Dotted Patterns: Fancy Circle I Creative Dies. I stamped the sentiment from And the Fox Says with black dye ink. I removed the inner negative and using foam tape, mounted it over the colored scene. I added white gel pen details over the blue background to give it a starry sky look.
And, that is all for my masculine card for today. Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 17th so this would be a great card to give to my husband. I hope you were inspired to color a similar scene for the lucky guys in your life. Thanks so much for stopping by!

This card is so adorable! I love it 🙂
This is so super sweet!
Loved this when I saw it on IG, Ruby… but isn’t it funny the things we miss in that ‘quick look’ mode? I never notice that little one! of course there would be one! A wonderful starry sky, too…
Happy Father’s Day to your husband … he’ll love this as much as we do, and more… xx
